A modern, thick-walled bassoon, it has been designed with no compromises.
The Ludlow Model A features:
Air dried, aged flamed maple body finished in oil-based varnish
Silver-plated keywork
French bell
Fully-lined wing joint and small bore of the boot joint; partially-lined large bore of the boot joint
27 keys including high E key, high D key, alternate right thumb G♯, alternate right hand third finger B♭, and alternate right hand little finger F♯
Twelve rollers: left little finger E♭ and D♭; right little finger F and A♭; right thumb B♭ and F♯
E-F♯ and C♯ trill keys
Right-hand whisper key lock
Solid silver finger-hole liners extending into the bore
Balance hanger
Two Ludlow professional crooks, LM1 and LM2
