Servicing, up-grades, repair and restoration

As well as looking after our own-made bassoons we work on all other makes of bassoon and contrabassoon from student level to professional and baroque to modern. 

Our repairers are professional bassoonists and contrabassoonists in their own right, and will carry out work on your instrument to the standard they would expect for themselves.

How it works:

• We always start by asking about the problems you are having and the extent of the work you have in mind. 

• We will then give you an initial indication of cost and how long that work might take

• Next, your bassoon will be assessed in our workshop. We will give you our feedback on its condition and a formal written estimate

• Once you approve the estimate we will carry out the work agreed

We work on bassoons from individuals, orchestras, conservatoires and music services. We also carry out insurance work if you have had an accident with your bassoon.

We always like to see our clients in person but if you can't make the journey you can send your bassoon to us or we can arrange to have it collected from you (UK customers only).

A completed Instrument Repair Form is required for all bassoons sent or brought to us for work.
